Welcome to my Website, this is the place to explore the things that I have to offer. Mostly I want to give you a contact page, and some images to see of things that I have done and what I am doing now. I am continuing with the turning school, it has been a great success. I offer classes once or twice a month. Click on the link above to learn more and see the schedule.   A new feature is the Wood Log, a list of what is currently available for sale.

What I Do

    In a nutshell, I build things. My background is in furniture design and building, I have expanded that to include woodturning, which has pretty much taken over much of my working day. I also have a penchant for stone sculpting and would jump at the opportunity to do larger projects. I work from my own workshop on a commission basis. I do offer wholesale options to genuine retail outlets. 

    I am a Craftsman. That statement says a lot for me. Yes, I am an artist too, but on the most familiar scale I am a craftsman. I make furniture, wood turn both functional and decorative items. I teach wood turning. I sculpt both wood and stone. My intent as the maker is important to me. I try to bring this intent, this same feeling and set of skills to everything I do throughout the day. I make things well, with a thought toward good design and pleasing use. I try to make things that will last, that will have a life of their own after I am gone. Sometimes whimsical, often practical, but always honest.

What's New?

      I am excited about some new furniture I am doing. Working with the lathe, turning off center pedestals and the like, it's a brand new look for my work.

     Craft Supply, the well known catalog and store that caters to Wood Turners needs has asked me to teach two basic woodturning classes. The dates are Aug. 24-28, and again Nov. 2-6.
